The choir offers musical leadership for congregational singing as well as an anthem many Sundays. Though it helps to be able to carry a tune, no previous experience or musical knowledge is necessary. If you don’t read music yet, there are people who will help you figure it out as you go. We have a lot of fun as well as making good music. Music feeds the soul and we consider it an important ministry.
Currently the choir practises Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and on Sunday mornings at 9:45am. Contact our Music Director, Jean MacLennan for more information.
All ages are welcome to join in on the fun of African drumming. This group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month in the sanctuary 4:00 to 5:30pm. Dates are subject to change so call ahead to be sure.
Bring your own drum or speak to Joanne Koster if you need one supplied, or would like more information.
No experience necessary.
This is an Arts and Soul Project of First United.
